Jubilee 2025 – Pilgrims of Hope

What is a Jubilee Year?

A Jubilee Year is a special time in the Church’s tradition encouraging holiness through acts of reconciliation and communion with our brothers and sisters.  Jubilee Year 2025 will be marked by special opportunities for grace through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, local pilgrimages and the Jubilee Indulgence. The theme is “Pilgrims of Hope”.

The Grotto Designated a Pilgrimage Site

The National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother (The Grotto) has been designated as a Jubilee pilgrimage site by Archbishop Alexander K. Sample. The Grotto invites everyone from around the world to celebrate the Year of Hope at The Grotto.

Message from the Holy Father

“We must fan the flame of hope that has been given us, and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and far-sighted vision. The forthcoming Jubilee can contribute greatly to restoring a climate of hope and trust as a prelude to the renewal and rebirth that we so urgently desire; that is why I have chosen as the motto of the Jubilee, Pilgrims of Hope.”
