Seven Days of Service

This tradition began last year during the pandemic as a way to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows and the anniversary of The Grotto.

Please join us for our second annual week of service as we celebrate our 97th Anniversary.

Monday, Sept. 20 – Saving Lives

There is a critical need for blood at this time. If you are unable to donate blood today, we invite you to donate at one of our future drives. Just click the link below to sign up for any of our dates.

The Grotto is proud to have collected over 1,000 units of blood since the beginning of the pandemic. Thank you to all who contributed to this amazing achievement.

Caring for the homeless

Feeding those in need

Friday, Sept. 24
Caring for women and children
Inspiration: Mother Mary

Diaper and Wipes Drive10 a.m. – 3 p.m.The Grotto Parking Lot
This NE Portland day shelter, founded by Catholic Charities, serves women and children experiencing the trauma of abuse, loss of home and other disruptive life changes.
Saturday, Sept. 25
Caring for those with cancer
Inspiration: Servite St. Peregrine Laziosi. St. Peregrine is the patron saint of those with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Partner: American Cancer Society
