Seven Days of Service This tradition began last year during the pandemic as a way to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows and the anniversary of The Grotto. Please join us for our second annual week of service as we celebrate our 97th Anniversary.

Thursday, Sept. 23 Feeding those in need Inspiration: Servite St. Philip Benizi Partner: SnowCap Food Drive10 a.m. – 3 p.m.The Grotto Parking Lot Please bring non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items to fill the shelves of this Northeast Portland food bank.

Friday, Sept. 24 Caring for women and children Inspiration: Mother Mary Partner: Rose Haven Diaper and Wipes Drive10 a.m. – 3 p.m.The Grotto Parking Lot This NE Portland day shelter, founded by Catholic Charities, serves women and children experiencing the trauma of abuse, loss of home and other disruptive life changes.

Saturday, Sept. 25 Caring for those with cancer Inspiration: Servite St. Peregrine Laziosi. St. Peregrine is the patron saint of those with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Partner: American Cancer Society Stay tuned for more information on Saturday about ways you can support and be a friend to someone battling cancer.
