Upper Gardens Free through Sunday, March 15

“As we confront this widespread outbreak, The Grotto stands united with all who suffer here and throughout the world. Like the Mother of God, who stood by the Cross of her son, offering hope in his suffering, we desire to be a hopeful presence to all at this time.

“In this spirit of hope, everyone is invited to visit our Upper Gardens at no charge through Sunday, March 15, so that you might have a place to reflect, to pray, and to find comfort and hope.”

Fr. Don Siple, OSM, Rector of The Grotto

Covid-19 Response

At The Grotto, the well-being of guests, staff and volunteers has always been our top priority. We take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness. In response to the outbreak of Covid-19, we are taking some additional measures, including increasing the frequency of sanitizing high-traffic areas.

We are following the guidance of the Archdiocese of Portland regarding Masses, which will continue daily, and on Sunday, in the Chapel of Mary. You can find their statement dated today, March 12, regarding Covid-19 on their website at archdpdx.org.

We will immediately update our website if anything changes.
