Visitation: Fellowship and the Feminine Genius

Saturday, March 16, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Spend a day with fellow faith-filled women exploring the Catholic woman’s unique role.

Our keynote speaker, Abigail Favale, author of “Into the Deep,” will explore how Mary’s inspiration can inform our voices in a secular world.

Located at The Grotto, women will have plenty of time for fellowship, prayer and meditation.

Inspirational speaker Lynda Olsen will explore John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and how it can be lived in a practical way

Complimentary access to the Upper Gardens, discount at The Grotto Gift Shop, breakfast and lunch are included.

$50 per person. Advance registration required.

Schedule of Events

8 a.m.: Morning Mass

8:30-9 a.m.: Registration/Light Refreshments (coffee/tea/muffins)

9-9:15 a.m.: Welcome and Orientation

9:15-10:30 a.m.: Talk #1 – Abagail Fivale – Seeking Woman’s Dignity: A Journey from Feminism to Catholicism

10:45-11:30 a.m.: Breakout Session – Is Catholic Feminism Possible? Confessions available at 11 a.m.

11:30-1 p.m.: Extended Lunch (Gift Shop/Upper Level Gardens available)

1-2 p.m.: Talk #2 – Lynda Olsen – John Paul II’s Feminine Genius: What is it and How do We Live It?

2-3 p.m: Facilitated discussion with speakers/religious.

3-4 p.m.: Adoration (Exposition & Benediction).

4-5 p.m.: Social Gathering
