Elias J. Moo has served as the Director of Catholic Education for the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon since 2024. Prior to his time in this role, Elias served in the Archdiocese of Denver for 16 years as a teacher, principal, and then as Superintendent of Catholic Schools, a role he held for nearly 6 years. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Elias has a great passion for Catholic educational renewal, a labor which he views as the ongoing reclamation of what is in the heart and mind of the Church for the education and formation of the human person. He and his wife Claudia, and their five boys are parishioners at Christ the King Catholic Church in Milwaukie.
