OPEN POSITION:

GROUNDS/FACILITIES JOB DESCRIPTION

This position covers all aspects of janitorial services, building maintenance, and landscaping on a 60-acer national shrine located in Portland Oregon. The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Cleaning and sanitizing public restrooms, sweeping, mopping, cleaning sinks and toilets, wiping down walls, restocking paper products, removing trash.

Working from ladders washing windows, changing light bulbs, cleaning roofs and gutters.

Pressure washing pathways, cleaning statues and shrines.

Helping to maintain water features, shrub bed maintenance, weeding, pruning, and raking.

Will use various equipment: Lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers, string trimmers, edger’s, fertilizer spreaders.

Will work in various weather conditions and must have current driver’s license.

Work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Starting rate of pay is $21.00 per hour.
